Acne Scar Treatment
DR AISHWARYA PATIL has primary special interest towards acne scar revision.
Acne scars are mainly classified into three types: boxcar scars, ice pick scars, and rolling scars.
At Chetna Hospital, we offer several advanced treatments to address this issue:
- Subcision: This is a surgical procedure that is designed to free the tethering fibrous scar bands that pull scars inwards and cause indentation and dimpling of the skin.Â
- TCA CROSS: . TCA Crossfor acne scars utilizes trichloroacetic acid to promote collagen production to heal the scar.
- Punch Excision: Punch excision effectively turns an indented scar or hole into a flat linear scar. These flat linear scars can then be further improved withMNRF AND / OR CO2 LASER and the resulting minimisation in scar appearance will be much more cosmetically acceptable.
- Microneedling Radiofrequency (MNRF) This is a type of microneedling that combines radiofrequency energy via the needles. The idea behind this concept is that with the thermal energy created by radiofrequency greater collagen stimulation is created than needling alone.Â
Fractional CO2Â AND ERBIUM laser Non ablative lasers achieve improvement in acne scars by causing burn columns in the skin. These precisely controlled columns of thermally destroyed skin tissue trigger a necrosis, inflammation and remodelling of the skin.
VITILIGO
Medical treatment includes local application of creams, phototherapy and, on rare occasions, oral medicines.
SURGICAL TREATMENT
Melanocyte transplantation procedure also known as Non-cultured Melanocyte-Keratinocyte Transplantation Procedure (MKTP) is the latest technique in the surgical management of Vitiligo/Leukoderma. It involves separating skin cells from normal skin and transplanting on white spots
Miniature punch grafting, also known as minigrafting, is the simplest and the least expensive of all the grafting procedures in vitiligo. The procedure involves the transfer of circular pieces or punches of skin tissue from the donor area into similar shaped pits that are made on the recipient skin.Â
Suction blister grafting- In this procedure suction is used to obtain very thin skin grafts by causing a split at the dermo-epidermal junction. These thin grafts are then applied on to dermabraded recipient skin.
Open skin pores
Open skin pores are small pit-like pores that appear in people with combination to oily skin. Â Appearance can be reduced with the help of MNRF treatments and mesobotox.
Radiofrequency and minor surgical Â
Treatments: Effective for removing warts, moles, skin tags, DPNs, Verruca Plana, seborrheic keratosis, comedones, milia etc.
Ear Lobe Repair
Earlobe repair surgery tightens and reconstructs damaged earlobes that have been ripped, scarred, or stretched to the point of sagging, either due to aging, wearing heavy earrings, or gauging (intentional stretching).Â
EAR LOBE/ NOSE/PIERCING It is done by using sterile , one-time piercing products. It is less painful with no chances of allergy
Mole Removal
Unwanted moles can be effectively removed in a single session with lasers and RF technology. Larger moles may require excision which is done as a simple procedure with a minimal scar.
Keloids
Keloids need a multi-modality approach to reduce their size, thickness, redness and itchiness. We use a combination approach with injections of anti-inflammatory medications and laser to effectively reduce keloids.
Xanthelasma
They are small yellow fatty deposits that develop around the upper and lower eyelids Surgical removal is one of the commonest treatment options. Other techniques include surgical electrocautery, cryotherapy and chemical cautery.
Stretch Marks
Stretch marks usually are only a cosmetic problem, if IT IS a cause of concern then MNRF tightening treatments can be done
Nail Surgeries: Addressing issues such as ingrown nails and fungal infections.
- Skin Biopsies and Grafting: For diagnosing and treating various skin conditions.
- Chemical Cautery and Curettage: For treating molluscum contagiosum or warts
- Intralesional Injections: Targeted treatments for various skin issues.

Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy
PRP treatment involves injecting your platelet-rich plasma into your skin to repair it and reduce scars and other visible signs of aging. This is often used to treat delicate and difficult-to-treat areas like the skin under the eyes. The patient’s own blood is centrifuged to form platelet-rich plasma and injected into the skin to stimulate the process of regeneration of skin cells and collagen. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses concentrated plasma that contains approximately 3 to 5 times the number of platelets found in normal circulating blood which contains various growth factors and other biological mediators that help in the rejuvenation of the skin.
Microneedling Radio Frequency
Benefits of MNRF Treatment:
Collagen Stimulation: MNRF treatment stimulates the production of collagen, promoting skin elasticity and firmness. This is particularly effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Scar Reduction: MNRF is recognized for its efficacy in diminishing the visibility of scars, including acne scars and surgical scars. The micro-needling process breaks down scar tissue, while the radiofrequency energy aids in skin regeneration.
Improved Skin Texture: The controlled micro-injuries induced by MNRF promote smoother and more even skin texture. This is beneficial for addressing irregularities such as roughness and uneven pigmentation.
Non-Invasive and Minimal Downtime: MNRF is a non-invasive procedure that typically involves minimal downtime. Patients can often resume their regular activities shortly after the treatment.
Versatility: MNRF is versatile and can be used to address various skin concerns, including sagging skin, enlarged pores, and stretch marks.
Safe for All Skin Types: MNRF is considered safe for all skin types, making it an inclusive option for individuals with diverse skin tones and textures.

- Mesotherapy: A technique that delivers nutrients directly to the scalp. Mesotherapy may help in improving certain forms of alopecia like telogen effluviumand  androgenetic alopecia,
- GFC Therapy: GFC treatment, or Growth Factor Concentrate therapy, is a hair treatment that takes growth factors from your own blood and injects them into your scalp. This helps revive your hair follicles and encourages them to grow new hair. It’s like giving your hair a natural boost to make it thicker and healthier.
- Scalp micropigmentation: also known as a hair tattoo, can cover bald spots or thinning hair without surgery. Providers use thin needles to deposit tiny dots of pigment (colour) on the scalp. This treatment can cover bald spots or create a shaved head look.
